An Update...Finally!
Well, I finally have internet access in my condo. I had been mooching off of someone else's wireless internet, but "Actiontec" and "linksys" must have moved because the wireless stopped working this summer. After 2 months of sporadic internet access, I broke down and got internet access (oh and while I was on the phone with Comcast I had a moment of weakness and ordered digital cable). Reliable internet access means it's time to update this blog for the first time in 3 months!
Here's quick rundown of what I've been up to:
Thursday night have become Grey's Anatomy-waching night. A group of us ladies who got hooked on Grey's over the summer have been getting together everything Thursday night to eat dinner and watch the show. Here's Rachel cooking up some yummy guacomole. I love it when Rachel cooks. She's a Southern Belle from Tennessee and always come up with great meals! Can you name that wine label in the picture? Yup, it's 2-buck Chuck, brought back from my trip to California.
Labor Day Weekend:
Labor Day weekend was spent up in Estes Park at Kathleen and Lukas' wedding. They are 2 friends from law school who met and started dating during their first year of law school. Not only did they manage to survive 3 years of law school, they survived 3 years of dating a law student! Props to them!!
They had a beautiful outdoors wedding in the mountains.
Lukas made all the women cry with his personally-written vows.
Besides the beautiful setting, the best part of the wedding is that wearing flipflops was encouraged! Billie Baysore did not participate in wearing flip flops, but I did! It was pretty chilly at the reception. Billie and I wore our jackets over our dresses most of the evening. However, every time we took a photo we took off the jackets so that we would at least look presentable for the photos.
Anne Phillips, me, and Rachel Allen. Anne now has her own blog: http://annephillips.blogspot.com/
She and her husband, Ryan, and heading to China on Friday. I'm looking forward to their stories from the Far East.
This is Mary's Lake, south of Estes Park. The wedding reception was held at a lodge overlooking the lake. We all spent the night at the lodge. Kathleen and Lukas had set up a brunch for all the wedding guests the next morning. Being a morning person, I of course woke up before everyone else the next morning and went for a walk around the lake, where I took this picture.
