I don't feel guilty about driving a gas-guzzling SUV when, like last night, I make use of every cubic inch of cargo space. Now this is a car 'o fun: 2 bikes, extra set of wheels, rollerblades, running shoes, and a kayak to top it off.

Friday night I left the granny flat and made my way a few miles south to stay with friends Trina and Greg who live in University City (a few miles inland from La Jolla). Now the adventure really begins! Friday night we went sea kayaking (my first time!). Saturday night are surf lessons for me and Trina, and then Sunday we all head north to Manhattan Beach for a bike race.
