Live From Oz...

After landing safely in Melbourne, an endless number of queues to get through customs and a few days of adjusting to the 16-hour time difference (okay so I'm still falling asleep at 9 p.m. every night), I've been treated to a great tour of Victoria's mountains, countryside, history, and fantastic bakeries...If I were Australian I would live off of a diet of pasties and fruit scones, tea, and jam tarts.

The last week has been full of so many 1sts....1st koala sighting, 1st kangaroo sighting, 1st (and definitely not the last) pastie...there are so many new words to learn, and driving on the left side of the road is a bit wacky. For now, I'll let the pictures do most of the talking...

There have been a lot of smiles for both of us..

Big 'ol lizard with a funky tongue.

1850's mining town...learning a bit of Aussie history

Real live koala....Australia has some goofy animals for sure.

Hitting up the Bendigo mtb trails.

Echidna...a porcupine-like creature.

Yummy Aussie lolly (i.e. candy)

My 1st Kangaroo sighting!!!
Gum trees...

Trolley??? Sometimes I think we speak different languages

I'm loving life right now...
