More random photos from San Diego:
I spent a lot of time the last 2 weeks doing just this...napping on people's couches.
Greg kayaking. Trina and I were feeling lazy (and sunburnt) and decided just to hang out on the beach.
Trina and Greg. Greg made a really good point this week. He said: "This is your vacation, but this is my life every day."
Trina was feeling artistic when she took this photo.
Greg kayaking.
Greg and Neil Shirley (Jittery Joe's) before the P/1 race at the MBGP.
One of Greg's teammates crashed in the final sprint right in front of Trina and me. He slid at least 10 feet and lost a lot of skin. Ouch.
I suppose one advantage of not being in contention in the final sprint is that I haven't ended up in this situation yet.
Greg and Neil again. We went for a chill ride on Tuesday morning before I left. Although it wasn't through the most beautiful part of San Diego - we rode through some trailor parks, and industrial park, and around Fiesta Island while Greg called "poop island" because he says that is how the island was made.
They introduced me to a whole new concept in cycling - the coffee shop ride. It's a novel idea, really. You ride for a little while, stop and relax and have a cup 'o joe at coffee shop, then ride home. It seems the coffee shop stop is a common theme on rides in San Diego. Brilliant, I say!
